Not Bad,
Great product for the price and to be able to support a separate shelf which will support my NAS, ZyXel Firewall and Cable Modem, this unit is more than enough to keep my home network devices organized. The other devices are a 24 ports Cisco switch, a 24 ports cat6 patch panel and an APC surge arrest unit. The missing star is because this rack is only 12 inches deep and the Cisco switch needs some clearance for its power cord, other than that, everything is OK for its intended purposes. Shipping was not as promissed from Amazon; I bought together with this rack the extra shelf and a punch down blade and it all shipped separated. To this writing, the shelf is in transit and it have some 10 before scheduled delivery but the rack package and the blade arrived two days before schedule. The delivery promised on Amazon site is not always dead on spot; keep that in mind.

Too shallow,
This rack is well constructed, but too shallow. I ordered a 2U shelf that was shown as a related item on the product page and it didn’t fit (about 2-3″ deeper). The power plug on my Netgear switch needed to be installed before installing the switch into the rack. The TripLite UPS I installed doesn’t have enough room to plug components in to the back. So… back to finding a deeper standard-sized rack.

Great rack for home or small office.,
This is a great rack for home or small office networking equipment: it’s quite sturdy and was very easy to assemble and install.
StarTech’s product page indicates that the unit includes all hardware necessary to assemble and install components; however, if you are installing 1U components, it only includes enough screws and nuts to install 4 components. That aside, I couldn’t be happier with this product.
